Will Allah forgive me?
You might say: “I want to repent, but my sins are many indeed. There is no kind of immoral act, no kind of sin, imaginable or otherwise, that I have not committed. It is so bad that I do not know if Allaah can forgive me for the things that I have done over the years.” In response, I would tell you that this is not a unique problem; it is one that is shared by many of those who wish to repent. Let...

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:...
This hadith informs us of two important rules. One is that if we are given an excuse, we need to accept it. If the other person is lying, the sin of their lie will be on them. However, if we decide not to acceept a Muslim’s excuse as genuine, then the sin becomes ours. How would you feel if you gave somebody a genuine excuse but they accused you of lying?  The second important thing we learn...

Some examples of Secret Devotion:
It is reported that Shurayh the Judge used to have a house in which he would spend time alone on Fridays; no one knew what he did in it. Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ` Vol.4 p105. It is reported that Abû Al-‘Âliyah said, “I learned writing and the Qur`ân without my family noticing, and not a drop of ink was ever seen on my garment.” Abû Nu’aym, Hilyatu Al-Awliyâ` Vol. 2 p217. It is reported...

Be careful with your knowledge, for it may be your ticket to Jannah or Jahannam. Be humble. Anyone can be knowledgeable. But very little can be modest. Remember, Iblis was not stupid. He was arrogant

When you are sick, delicious food doesn’t taste good to you. Why? Because you are sick and there is nothing wrong with the food. The pleasure of praying is the same thing. We don’t understand how great the taste of true prayer is because we have diseased souls that are preventing us from experiencing the amazing pleasure of salat.

Sunnahs when Meeting People:
1. Give Tasleem (Salutation) The Prophet (PBUH) was asked “which type of Islam is the best?” ; and he (PBUH) answered: ” to feed people and salute the people you know or don’t know” [Al-Bukharee, The Book of Eeman, Hadith 12; Muslim, The Book of Eeman, Hadith 39] 2. What is the difference between a Prophet and a...
The well-known difference between a Prophet and a Messenger is that a Messenger is one to whom a law is revealed and he is commanded to convey it, whilst a Prophet is one to whom a law is revealed but he is not commanded to convey it. But this distinction is not free of problems, because a Prophet is also commanded to call people, convey the Message and judge among the people. Hence Shaykh...

CATHOLIC TO ATHEIST TO ISLAM Professor of Mathematics :: Dr. Jeffrey Lang “For those whom Islam has embraced, the greatest witness to God’s unremitting, pursuing, sustaining, and guiding love is the Qur’an. Like a vast magnificent ocean, it lures you deeper and deeper into its dazzling waves until you are swept into it. But instead of drowning in a sea of darkness, as described...

I filled my hands with water to wash my face for wudhu and it came to me; the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to perform the whole wudhu with this amount. This is called Mudd and it is two hands carry of water. He used to perform ghusul with 4 Mudds which is a Sa’aa. How much water we are wasting while going against the Sunnah!

Shariah Law: The Five Things Every Non-Muslim (and...
1. What does Shariah mean? Shariah is the law of the Qur’an and literally means “A path to life giving water.” In fact, the word Yarrah(i.e. the root of the Hebrew word Torah) means precisely the same thing. Therefore, Shariah is actually ingrained in Abrahamic tradition. Shariah is comprised of five main branches: adab(behavior, morals and manners), ibadah (ritual...

Islamic Morals; Kindness Towards Animals:
The Prophet forbade his companions to keep the unintelligent creatures hungry or thirsty, to disturb or to overburden them.  He commended that kindness and putting them at ease are acts tending to bring man nearer to Allah.  If he saw any animal over-loaded or ill-fed he would pull up the owner and say: “Fear Allah in your treatment of animals.”  The Companions asked: “O...

The Month of Safar
The month of Safar is one of the twelve Hijri months, and it is the month which comes after Muharram. Some of the (scholars) said that it is so named because of the emptying (isfaar) of Makkah (i.e., its people would all leave) when they travelled during this month. It was also said that this month is named Safar because they used to raid other tribes at this time, and they would leave those whom...
